Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is one of the most deadly occupational hazards affecting operations in the oil and gas industries. This training covers the characteristics of hydrogen sulfide gas and the potential physiological effects of exposure as well as the use of H2S detection equipment and escape breathing apparatus.
The objectives of the H2S Awareness Training are to:
(-) Ensure that the delegate gains the required knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of H2S.
(-) Appropriate emergency response actions to take should an H2S related incident arise.

(-) Operating personal H2S detection equipment
(-) Responding to an alarm
(-) Donning & operating an escape breathing apparatus (EBA) with a mask within 30 seconds
(-) Donning & operating an EBA with a hood within 30 seconds
(-) Connecting to a pressurized cascade breathing system with an activated EBA which has been donned correctly
(-) Disconnecting from a pressurized cascade breathing system with an activated EBA which has been donned correctly.
This H2S Awareness Training course is aimed at all personnel who risk exposure to H2S in the workplace.
